Jeanette C. Schuster has joined Tonkon Torp, LLP as an associate in the Real Estate and Environmental Law Practice Group, focusing on environmental and renewable energy matters. Her experience includes helping clients to resolve problems related to environmental cleanup, environmental insurance claims, wind power siting, water rights, land use and zoning, and utility rate cases.

Schuster earned her B.S. in zoology from Northern Arizona University and worked as a medical research assistant prior to attending law school. She graduated magna cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2002, and comes to Tonkon Torp with three years of experience at one of Portland’s largest law firms. Most recently, she worked as a clinical trial document specialist at a pharmaceutical company in Dresden, Germany.

Schuster is author of several papers on environmental law matters and has co-authored six papers that were published in scientific journals. During law school, she was associate editor of the Lewis and Clark Environmental Law Journal.
