RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (November 6, 2009) --- Courtney S. Schorr has joined the Business and Professional Litigation practice group at the law firm of Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, J. Jonathan Schraub, managing shareholder of the DC Regional Office in McLean, announced today.

“Courtney’s skills and experience in business litigation and her strong courtroom background will assist directly and immediately in ongoing matters for our clients,”  Schraub said.

Schorr’s law practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters, defense of federal securities matters and claims against public companies and their directors and officers. Her legal background includes working for a major international law firm in the District of Columbia office in the litigation and white collar crimes practice.

Schorr graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and American Studies. She earned her law degree at the University of Virginia, and received honors for her legal writing with a Legal Writing Dillard Fellowship and recognition with the "Best Memo" and Bracewell & Patterson Oral Advocacy Awards. She has additional business experience in an international consulting practice’s Office of Government Services on business process improvement projects prior to entering law school.
