Columbus, Ohio - Schottenstein Zox & Dunn Co., LPA (SZD) is proud to announce that Michael D. Tarullo has been elected Chair-Elect of the American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on the Construction Industry.

The ABA Construction Forum is the largest organization of construction lawyers in the United States.  Its 6,000 members include solo practitioners, attorneys from small and large firms, government lawyers and corporate in house counsel.  The Forum’s mission is to serve the construction industry through education and leadership and it provides three national educational programs each year to members.  The group also creates and distributes Forum publications and is actively dedicated to promoting diversity within the legal profession. The Forum is governed by three officers, including the Chair-Elect, who are elected by the Forum’s membership at its Annual Meeting each Spring.

Tarullo is Chair of SZD’s Construction Practice Area and has served the construction industry through mediation, arbitration and litigation of multiple party disputes, bid protests, quality of work disputes, time impact and production claims.  Prior to pursuing his legal career, Tarullo was an engineer and has field experience in actual construction, construction-related businesses and field construction claims evaluation and preparation.

Highly recognized in the field of construction law, Tarullo has been named one of Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers for Business – Construction, as well as one of The Best Lawyers in America - Construction Law.  He has also been honored by The International Who’s Who of Construction Lawyers and Ohio Super Lawyers.

Tarullo received his undergraduate engineering degree from the University of Louisville and his law degree from Capital University Law School.
