Rogers elected to Board of Columbia Development Corporation July 22, 2010

L. Rogers has been elected to the Board of the Columbia Development
Corporation. For more than 25 years, the Columbia Development Corporation has assisted
economic development in Columbia through public private partnerships and
business development.
Rogers is a member of the Ellis Lawhorne
Business, Real Estate and Finance Practice Group and focuses a large part
of his practice on real estate and tax advantaged financing. Rogers’
involvement on the Columbia Development Corporation Board will heighten his
exposure to the business community and bring a unique perspective to various business
development initiatives in Columbia.
In 2004, Rogers earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina
(USC) School of Law and his Master of Business Administration from the USC
School of Business. He went on to earn his Master of Laws in Taxation in 2005
from the University of Florida College of Law. Rogers focuses his practice on
business and corporate law, entity formation, business sales and acquisitions,
state and federal tax credits, tax-exempt organizations, and tax controversies.
He is a member of the South Carolina Bar, Richland County Bar Association, and
the South Carolina Bar Tax Law Section.
