Corporate Governance in UK The Equitable Life Assurance Society December 12, 2005 The Equitable Life Assurance Society (one of the biggest corporate governance cases and one of the biggest pieces of business litigation in the UK) settled against its former auditors (Ernst & Young) for negligence and against 15 of its former directors for negligence and breach of fiduciary duty.
