Sherrill Corbett Joins Partners in Diversity Leadership Council

Tonkon Torp partner Sherrill Corbett has joined the Partners in Diversity (PID) Leadership Council. PID is an affiliate of the Portland Business Alliance Charitable Institute and is dedicated to creating a competitive advantage in Oregon and Southwest Washington by attracting and retaining diverse talent.

Tonkon Torp is proud to be a longtime supporter of PID and its work to educate, engage, and support the business community to build and empower a workforce that reflects the area’s rapidly changing demographics. Partner Parna Mehrbani, past Vice Chair and Chair of the PID Leadership Council, recently completed her service on the Council.

In addition to her service with PID, Sherrill is actively engaged with internal DEI initiatives at Tonkon Torp. She is a member of the DEI Committee and recently served on a planning committee to develop the Tonkon Torp Helping Underrepresented Business Owners Program (HUB), a collaborative initiative for business owners from historically marginalized and underrepresented communities.

Sherrill is immediate past Co-Chair of Tonkon Torp’s Business Transactions Practice Group and previously served on the firm’s Managing Board. She counsels clients on buying and selling businesses, structuring complex joint ventures, bank financings, private placements, and public offerings. Sherrill represents public companies and advises them on securities compliance, corporate governance matters, and follow-on offerings.
