Please join the LFA L&E Community for a Zoom focused on Paid Sick and Family Leave Laws on Wednesday, April 10 at 1:30 ET.  The list of states and even cities that have enacted new paid leave laws continues to grow.  Chicago’s new leave law permits employees to use accrued paid leave for any purpose, while the newly enacted Colorado law now requires earned vacation time to be treated as wages, which must be paid out.  Our panel will feature practitioners from both coasts and the heart of the country.  They will share overviews of their states’ laws and provide practical suggestions.  Our group Chair, Joelle Khouzam of Bricker & Ecker will moderate and our panelists will be Laura Pfeiffer and Rachel Brygger of Winthrop & Weinstine in Minnesota, Marissa Mastroianni of Cole Schotz in New Jersey and Melanie Kim of Donahue Fitzgerald in the Bay Area.
