Revocable Asset Preservation Trust

The Fellers Snider law firm is pleased to join with BancFirst and the Oklahoma Bar Association in sponsoring the Revocable Asset Preservation Trust – New Planning Horizons from Oklahoma continuing legal education seminar.
Revisions to the Oklahoma Asset Preservation Trust Act that became effective in November 2014 have made the Act a viable planning option for estate planning lawyers. As revised, the Act now provides that unlimited contributions can be made to a revocable Oklahoma preservation trust. The CLE seminar will focus on planning issues that are applicable to domestic asset protection trusts generally, as well as issues that arise from the two unique features of the Oklahoma preservation trust. Those two features are: An Oklahoma preservation trust is an exemption trust instead of a spendthrift trust; it can be revocable.
Presenters include Jay Adkisson, author of Asset Protection: Concepts and Strategies for Protecting Your Wealth; Fred Tansill, co-author of Asset Protection Trusts and Agreements; Ruth Mattson, who practices with Alexander Bove, author of Trust Protectors: A Practice Manual with Forms; and Elizabeth Morgan, formerly a shareholder and member of the Taxation Practice Group of the national firm of Akerman Senterfitt.
