OMIG Posts Refreshed Audit Protocols for Key Service Lines
August 25, 2025
By: Kaydeen M. Maitland and Gabriel S. Oberfield, Esq., M.S.J.
The New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (“OMIG”) has published new audit protocols. They offer guidance for Medicaid funded practitioners involved in dental services and durable medical equipment, as well as for independent providers furnishing private duty nursing services and Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (“LHCSA”) likewise engaging in private duty nursing.
The OMIG intends for the protocols to support providers’ efforts to align with Medicaid requirements and maintain compliance standards. To review the protocols, visit the OMIG website at OMIG Audit Protocols.
As a reminder, please join Bond, Schoeneck and King PLLC, and the OMIG on Sept. 25, 2025, for the 9th session in our ongoing webinar series.
