First Ever European LFA Associates Meeting Takes Place in Manheim, Germany

January 22, 2020

The first ever European Young LFA Associates meeting took place in Mannheim on September 13 and 14, 2019. A total of 14 associates attended. It was a very diverse group, with associates coming from Italy, Spain, Austria, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and The Netherlands.

The meeting kicked off at the new Hilton Garden Inn in Manheim, where Michael Rajkowski of KLEINER Rechtsanwälte gave a very interesting lecture on the new EU trade secrets directive, which was adopted on June 8, 2016 and Member States were required to comply with by 9 June 2018. During this lecture, the participants actively discussed the effects of this directive on their national legislation and provided practical tips for anyone confronted with this new directive.

After the lecture, the participants left for Deidesheim where they enjoyed a lunch and winetasting at Weingut von Winning. During the winetasting, the participants were given a tour of the wine cellars, where they could enjoy the wine and learn more about its origins.

Following this information filled afternoon, the participants were escorted back to Manheim where they were treated to a tour of the KLEINER Rechtsanwälte Mannheim offices located in a beautiful old building.

The program concluded with dinner and drinks at ´Die Küche’ where the participants were treated to a great meal with a fantastic view.
