In addition to her new role as Chair of the Recruiting Committee, Acken is also Chair of the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee where she presides over a team that engages personnel in conversations and trainings about diversity and inclusion, as well as developing policies and practices to recruit, support, promote, and retain personnel with diverse experiences and attributes to further Jennings Strouss’ culture of acceptance, promoting excellence, achievement, and advancement of all individuals. In her practice, Acken focuses on labor and employment law.  She has defended and advised numerous companies in gender, race and disability discrimination matters in state and federal court.
